Last year activity of the company has been directed to the performance of the tasks following from the priorities of economy development in 2010, which were determined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at session of the Government on January 29, 2010.

The company has provided stable functioning uniform power system, steady rates of energy production growth, performance of measures of forecast parameters of production, activity and target programs of social and economic development.

In 2010 the electric energy was produced and the thermal energy sold for 103,6 %. The task on export of goods and services is carried out for 101,6 %.

The coal mining of OJSC "Uzbekugol" has come to 106,8 %.

In the framework of the anti-recessionary program with a view of achievement of steady rates of economic growth and stable work as a result of the taken measures the production costs was reduced for 11,2 %.

The volume of investments into modernization of production has considerably increased, it was mastered USD 123,9 mln. of foreign credits and USD 218,2 mln. of credit resources of Fund of Reconstruction and Development.

More than 300 km of transmission lines 110 - 500 kV and 170 thsnd. kVA transformer capacities 35 kV and higher had been put into operation.

Within the framework of the realization of the main investment projects Program the construction OTL 500 kV «Syr-Darya TPP – S/S Sogdiana» (II circuit) by extent of 218 km and the reconstruction of 69,4 km of OTL 500 kV «Syr-Darya TPP – S/S Tashkent» were carried out, the construction of S/S 110 kV "Sailgoh" with transformer capacity 126 thsnd. kVA and a two-chain cable line 110 kV with the extent of 6,3 km was completed.

The projects on construction CCPP at Navoi TPP and Talimardjan TPP, on the transfer of power units №1-5 at New – Angren TPP to all-the-year-round burning of coal, installation of gas expansion machines at Syr-Darya and Talimardjan TPP, the construction of HPP "Kamolot", modernization of hydro generators at Charvak HPP, etc are under implementation.

Within the framework of the State Program on the accelerated development and construction of housing and social infrastructure 232,8 km of OTL with voltage 0,4 - 10 kV and with installation of 176 complete sets of transformer substations for electric supply of individual housing construction in countryside has been put into operation.

The measures on realization of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 15, 2010 № DP-1442 «About priorities of the development of the Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015» on the further deepening of the structural reforms directed to the advanced development of electric power branch, to realization of scale modernization, technical and technological energy production renovation with implementation of modern equipment and technologies have taken place.

At the expanded session of the Board, proceeding from the main priorities of social and economic development of the Republic for 2011, concrete actions are developed and tasks in power branch for the current year are determined.

They are the following:

    Continuation of the realization of the measures stipulated by the Anti-recessionary program for 2009-2012, and on this basis the maintenance of high and steady rates of production growth, efficiency and macroeconomic balance of Power Industry development;

    The further diversification of competitive goods production with development of the new markets of its selling for the account of forced implementation of the projects of modernization, technical and technological renovation of the Power branch included in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 15 December, 2010 № DP1442 «About priorities of the development of the Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015»;

     Expansion of production of localizable goods, inter-branch and intra-branch cooperation, implementation in manufacture of high energy saving technologies, improvement of an ecological condition at the enterprises, creation of new workplaces, including homework;

     Realization of the State program «Year of small business and private enterprises», arrangement of reliable electric supply, rendering of the practical help for the operation of electric installations of small business and private enterprises, delivery of the electric power in volumes according to the concluded contracts.
