On February 5, 2010 the extended session of "Uzbekenergo" board has taken place in SJSC "Uzbekenergo", it was devoted to the results of social and economic development of SJSC "Uzbekenergo" enterprises, realization of anti-recessionary measures, the program of modernization and technical and technological re-equipment in 2009, and to the measures on provision of sustainable development of the branch in 2010.

30th June, 2009 Company Council session on the results of activity for 2008 was held. Chairman of the Company Council, Deputy Prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. E. Shaismatov conducted the session.

In 2008, SJSC "Uzbekenergo" has maintained main parameters of production activity including: electric power generation - 101,6 %, export of production and services - 112 %, realization of means of capital construction - 111,3 % as compared to the forecast parameters.

For increasing reliability of power supply in Fergana Valley and efficiency of all power system operation, the construction of "Uzbekistanskaya" substation (1 stage) with its connection to 500 kV OHL "Novo-Angrenskaya TPP – S/S "Uzbekistanskaya" with total length of 164.9km was completed

Ceremony of commissioning PTL-220 kV for transmission of the electric power from Uzbekistan to Kabul has taken place at substation "Chantala" in Kabul suburb.

With a view of performance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 28, 2008 "About the Program of measures on the support of the enterprises of real economy, provision of their stable work and increasing of the export potential, "SJSC Uzbekenergo" have developed the concept on further improvement of electric power distribution and selling, determination of the main principles of the stage-by-stage transition to the electric power selling by private operators, implementation of automated energy accounting and control system by large economic entities in 2009 and other rural consumers in 2010-2015

In according with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 26, 2009 No PP – 1046, 2009 year is declared as the year of the rural area development and improvement.

In pursuance of the Decree, SJSC "Uzbekenergo" has accepted the Branch Program "Year of development and improvement of the rural area" which provides the following:

In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “About measures on further development of the industry cooperation and increasing of export potential” dated January 16, 2009, No 14, the Branch Industry Exposition on the issues of geology, fuel-power complex's and chemical, oil-gas and metallurgic industry including SJSC "Uzbekenergo" will be held from April 16th to April 18th 2009.

The extended session of board has hold in SJSC "Uzbekenergo" on February, 7, 2009 where three following important issues were considered and discussed:

1. The main results of realization of priorities of branch social and economic development in 2008;

2. Outcomes for maintenance of steady and stable work of the power enterprises of the company in 2009;

3. Implementation of complex of measures on execution of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No DP-4058 dated November, 28, 2008.
